I am a Kenyan/British filmmaker, with experience of working on big-budget studio feature films as an assistant to the creative producers. I am developing my own slate of projects that tell stories of the people from the African Diaspora trying to navigate love, life and work in countries such as Kenya, the UK and the USA. The key thread that runs through my projects is the tension between fitting in with one culture whilst remaining loyal to another. 

I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of early African cinema; I enjoy historical research and diving into the archives to build worlds and bring stories to life. I love writing log-lines and working with writers to create stories that shine a light on the human experience and avoid the mistakes of the past.
